Anonymizing Disaster Zone Street-level Imagery from Hurricane Ian on Wednesday, Jul 17 from 4:00 PM to 4:20 PM PDT at the Expo Startup Zone Theater.

Responsible and ethical image use requires prioritizing citizen privacy. We take a look at Celantur's enterprise-grade image anonymization technology, applied by Nodeology in a custom demonstration aimed at Esri’s emergency management operations, FEMA, and similar agencies. Over 8,000 high-resolution Hurricane Ian panoramas from Site Tour 360 were captured wit their Mosaic 51 camera system and anonymized, by automatically blurring faces, people, and license plates to ensure privacy.
